Community Outreach
The Green-Hope Foundation, Inc. established its community outreach component as a public service initiative to help areas that are the most deserving. It's our hope that this Foundation will be the catalyst for positive change in a child’s life, to display genuine love and commitment for our community, to promote positive youth development, and to affirm to the youth that someone truly cares for them.
4th Annual Hoop-4-Hope Basketball Camp "Spring Break Edition"
March 26, 2024, Waldorf, MD
The Green-Hope Foundation, Inc. recently hosted their 4th Annual Hoop-4-Hope Basketball Camp during Spring Break. The camp was open to boys and girls in grades 4th through 9th. The main objective of the event was to provide children with a positive outlet during spring break and to teach them basketball and life skills strategically and intentionally. The campers were mentored by an elite coaching staff, had fun, and made lasting friendships while building their confidence, communication, teamwork, and sportsmanship skills.
The camp included breakfast, lunch, a Hoop-4-Hope wristband, T-shirt, and giveaways. The participants were allowed to win cash prizes or gift cards during the skill challenge competitions.
The Green-Hope Foundation would like to express its gratitude to all the amazing camp participants, supportive parents, dedicated coaches from the St. Charles High School Boy’s Basketball Team , and selfless volunteers who made this event possible. 6th Annual Holiday-Hope Giveback

Thanksgiving Turkey Drive
November 11-21, 2023, Portsmouth, VA & Waldorf, MD
Partnering with local nonprofit organizations and public schools, the Green-Hope Foundation donated turkeys to provide Thanksgiving meals to families from Wade Elementary School located in Waldorf, Maryland. Additionally, our donation of turkeys to the Wright Path Outreach's Food Distribution Event, based in Portsmouth, VA, furthered the reach of kindness within our community. Thank you to our partners, for your commitment to making a positive difference and fostering a spirit of giving during this Thanksgiving season.
Trunk or Treat - Community Fall Festival
October 21, 2023, Brandywine, MD
Chick-fil-a located in Brandywine, MD invited local orgranizations to particpate in their Annual Truck or Treat Community Fall Festival to foster community unity. The event was an enjoyable environment for families, offering music, pumpkin painting, moonbounce, games, and face painting for all attendees. Thank you Chick-fila Brandywine for the invitation and continued support.
3rd Annual Hoop-4-Hope THREE Day Youth Basketball Camp: "Spring Break Edition"

Our 3rd Annual Hoop-4-Hope 3-day Basketball Camp was a resounding success! We were thrilled to provide the children of Charles County, Maryland with an outlet to showcase their skills, while also staying safe from the dangers of gun and gang violence. The energy and passion that our participants brought to the court was nothing short of inspiring.
The purpose of this 3-day event was to give children an outlet during spring break and to intentionally and strategically teach and develop well-rounded children through the sport of basketball. Each participant will be encouraged by the best elite coaching staff to have fun, meet new lifelong friends, all while enhancing their confidence and building their communication, teamwork and sportsmanship skills.
We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our sponsors, donors, and dedicated volunteers who made this camp possible. Without your support, we would not have been able to provide over $400 in prizes, trophies, and food sponsored by Roy Rogers, Jersey Mikes & Chic-Fila, Camp T-Shirts, and much more. The Green-Hope Foundation, Inc. and GHF Services, LLC partnered to bring to you the 2022 HOOP-4-HOPE Basketball Showcase.
This event highlighted the talents of rising Middle School and High School basketball players through high-level training and competition.
A free 1-hour basketball skill development session hosted by GHF Services, LLC was provided to showcase participates. Showcase players also participated in 1-on-1 & 3-on-3 games and various basketball skill development challenges. Challenge winners received various prizes from Chic-Fila and were awarded trophies.
This event was also a fundraising initiative in preparation for the Green-Hope Foundation, Inc 's HOOP-4-HOPE Basketball Tour, the 5th Annual HOLIDAY-HOPE Giveback Event, the 2022-2023 SY 4th Annual Scholarship Awards, and Mentoring and Tutoring Programs.

This free 3-day basketball camp was held during Spring Break to give the children of Portsmouth an outlet, to elevate their skills, get out the streets, and to prevent gun and gang violence.
Over $400 in prizes, over 30 Easter baskets, free food, clothes, school supplies and much more was given to our camp participants to encourage positive youth development.
As a collective, we all improved, both camp participants and camp coaches. The level of hard work, precision, intensity, focus, and ultimately being a good sport was showcased. Three days of excitement! Our camp coaches not only emphasized basketball training, but also implemented education, integrity, financial literacy, health and wellness, hard work & dedication. The 4th Annual Holiday-Hope Giveback was a game changing experience! This year we provided not only toys to our 35 participates, but a free basketball skill development camp!
Camp participants received basketball training and life coaching with an emphasis in education, integrity, financial literacy, health and wellness. Campers also received an assortment of toys and gifts for the Christmas Holiday.

Community Food Distribution Event

Inaugural DMV Elite 20 Youth Basketball Showcase & Basketball Skill Development Camp
April 18, 2021, White Plains, MD.
The Green-Hope Foundation, Inc. hosted its Inaugural DMV ELITE 20 Youth Basketball Showcase at the Southern Maryland Sports Complex in White Plains, MD. The purpose of this event was to provide exposure and basketball skill development for middle school and high school athletes located in the DMV area and put them in live action to showcase their skills and talent. Due to the global Pandemic, some athletes missed their basketball season and were unable to showcase their talents through game play or film. Our goal was to set a platform for players to obtain film that displays their ability to compete at a collegiate basketball level. In addition to the showcase and the skill development camp, the Green-Hope Foundation, Inc. awarded three (3) graduating high school seniors with scholarships in the amount of $1,000.00.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day Youth Camp 2020
January 20, 2020, Norfolk, VA
416 Aphrodite Restaurant and the Green-Hope Foundation, Inc. partnered to facilitate an one day Youth Camp full of exciting recreational activities in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day for ages 6-13. The MLK Day Camp was designed for children to galvanize their minds and voices. Campers were encouraged to mingle and meet new friends, learn about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr's life changing impact for humanity, social justice, and civil rights. Campers used Dr. King's legacy to create their own vision boards, affirmations, and goals. Campers also made their own pizza and science experiment! Thank you to 416 Aphrodite Restaurant, Ashlee Hanna, Shareen Abdullah, Ashlee Allen, and all our wonderful selfless volunteers and donors.
2nd Annual Holiday-Hope Giveback

The Green-Hope Foundation, Inc. partnered with Hidenwood Elementary School and Park View Elementary School to facilitate our 2nd Annual Holiday-Hope Giveback. The Green-Hope Foundation, Inc. hosted the Inaugural Hoop-4-Hope Basketball Skills Development Clinic at Woodrow Wilson High School in Portsmouth, VA. This was a free community-based event opened to the public, for ages 5-14.
The purpose of this event was to intentionally and strategically teach and develop well-rounded children through the sport of basketball. Each participant was encouraged by the best and elite coaching staff to have fun, meet new lifelong friends all while enhancing their confidence and building their communication, teamwork and sportsmanship skills. The participants received school supplies sponsored by Staples, lunch sponsored by Chic-fila, Green-Hope wristbands, toys provided by the City of Portsmouth Social Services, fresh and organic fruits provided by GoGreen Farms and Greenhouses, Inc. and all the equipment needed to practice and play basketball.

The Green-Hope Foundation, Inc and Corey "Thunder" Law from the Harlem Globetrotters partnered for a special meet and greet/giveaway event. Thirty participants received official Harlem Globetrotter basketballs and apparel and the opportunity to meet Chesapeake, Virginia's very own Corey Law! Park View Elementary School Career Day 2019

Park View Elementary School invited our Founder & CEO, Mr. Deshaune Green to Park View Career Day 2019. Mr. Green was offered the opportunity to speak about his passions, professions, and his current and future endeavors in his community to motivate, inspire, and empower these college-bound, career ready students.
Graduating from college gave me hope that I could elevate beyond what was expected of me. Basketball gave me the confidence that I could push past my limits. And God gave me the faith of a mustard seed that I’ll succeed at whatever I put my mind too.
